Gearbox problems

Hey guys

Well i just bought a new prelude and the guy had put a H22a into it, but the gearbox didnt have seals on it which means it was slowly losing gearbox oil. I drove the thing home like that and then i was drivin it to my mechanics and the gearbox just stopped working, it still goes into gears but when u put it in neutral and let go off clutch it stalls. Is my gearbox ****ed and will i need a new one?? Also i have a H23a gearbox, will this fit on the engine??

running it out of oil will not have done it any favours. u can use any h series or f series manual box. they all interchangable. ie f will bolt to h motor and h box to f motor. just be aware their are diff ratios depending on what box u end up using.

whats the best box for a h22a?

Car stalls when he releases clutch in neutral means good clutch, bad box.
