View Full Version : ASR + DC2R LCA on ek

i have already got the ASR brace and an EK9 rsb. if i change my lca's to dc2r lca's (new coilovers from dc2r) will i still be able to use everything as it is or do i have to get a dc2r rsb?

The LCAs are different lengths AFAIK.

haha i know thats why i am unsure if i can use them (ASR and EK9 rsb) with the car or not.......just curious as there are a set of coilovers im looking at but its for dc2r and comes with dc2r lca's which can fit ek pretty sure......just not sure if its worth the trouble though if i have to get a dc2r rsb.....so yeah haha

dc2r rsb is same length as ek9 one.. i know this because im using a 23mm 98+ dc2r rsb on my ek4 lca.

did you have to get new endlinks? i think i might have to in order to use them?

I used factory end links. Just needed endlink adapters it would work with the dc2r rsb. Refer to the thread below. It describes it all there.

just a heads up, if you wanted to run dc2r suspension function7 makes lca's which let you use eyelet rear shocks

well it seems to me that a longer LCA would induce negative camber. (thinking about it the EK LCA is the longer one IIRC, so the DC2R LCA would cause positive camber.)
Any reason you can't get the coilovers for EK4/9?

a pair of 2nd hand coilovers popped up in the fs section so was just curious.....thats what i would have thought too but it seems that some people do swap them.....was just double checking.....looks like its not worth it...cheers guys

That's fair. I thought you were looking at brand new coilovers.
