2.5" catback is not 'a bit big' at all, stock DC2R is already 2.25 so it's better to go for 2.5" to take advantage of the upgrade.

hmm....yeh 2.5 sounds good, im running j's racing headers and if i get a custom made stainless steel 2.25" cat-back with mandel bends, with a 1 resornator, and high flow cat, and a nice cannon..... will i notice a difference from the stock catback?

Get some good headers with 2.5 inch collector. Run 2.5 inch hi flow cat back exhaust.

You guys sure stock ITR is 2.25 inch? I swear mine was alot smaller!
All the japs use 60mm for DC2R, which is 2.36... inchs. So I would stick with a 60mm pipe :D

accordin 2 team-integra a USDM ITR is 2.14 inches or thereabouts from memory so i would hav thought AUDM would b similar... really doubt its already 2.25, maybe jdm tegs r though.

yeah i was under the impression that the exhaust on an AUDM dc2r was closer to 2 inches than 2.25 inches. i say for a catback go somewhere in between like a 60mm which is 2.36 as mentioned above. with a catback it wont make much difference unless your doing headers but the dc2rs have a good set already

I just had a look at my stock exhaust, and it's no way near 2.25 inchs. Close to 2" i'd say.
But yeah, 60mm yO!

guys
if you custom made best size is 2.5inch measured on outer diameter of pipe
if japanese brand, it is 60.5mm measured inner diameter pipe
why measured using inner diameter? most good jap brand use thick metal that cause less droning and vibration sound as such if you measure them using outer diameter, it is almost 3 inch thick

im taking off my standard dc2r catback to build a new exhaust
i wonder how much is it for a 2.5" bpipe to be done ?

I reckon that you might be better off getting a Japanese brand cat back exhaust rather than a custom made one which would just bolt straight on. I think my Fujitsubo RM01 was 2.38" (I might be wrong). Really depends on your budget tho.

JDM "Vision" B-pipes are a fair price! Ask Leo from JDM concept about it.
