Hey guys,

Just wondering who has installed or retrofitted Bi-Xenon HIDS into their CD5's ?

I was looking at getting a Bi-Xenon 8000k kit to replace my Xenon 6000k kit, i know all i will be gaining is a highbeam for my H4 socket and just a difference colour temperate.

But since the Bi-Xenon kit also comes with a Relay and afew other wires, was it difficult to install ? I know the Xenon kits are easy as to install because the bulb wiring goes back to the ballast and the ballast wiring goes straight into the h4 plug, from memory. But the Bi-Xenon kits you have to do some extra things with it.

Any help appreciated

Bi-Xenon is similar to the normal xenon, the difference is:
- you need to find extra place to located the high beam relay
- there are extra 2 wires, red and black back to the battery terminal
- and the signal wire from left ballast to the right ballast. (the high beam signal wire)

I have HIDS already i have a 6k kit which is xenon, not bi-xenon so just low beam no high beam :P

Both are easy to install takes around 20-30mins, but the bi-xenon will take around 20mins extra to hide the extra cables that come with them.

I got them from eBay, from Hong Kong, not a brand named set either, they work quite well, the colour accuracy may not be 100% as claimed by leading brands but it seems pretty good to me.

From memory i paid about $120 inc postage took about 3-4 days to arrive. They are for the single, Bi-Xenon's will be a little more expensive around $160 inc postage from overseas or even in AUS if you can find a seller.

You can always go Euroline or Phillips HIDS if you are really picky.
