Hey guys,

I live in the St Albans area, wheres the nearest garage where I can get reliable and value service - planning to install HID lights into my CU2.

Also, whats the brightest you can get them thats JUST below the legal limit.
Is it the brighter the more "blue" it appears at night?

Cheers.

wrong section buddy.

just to let you know....having after market hid's are illegal.

if you do end up getting a kit. recommend 6000k nothing more.
depending on the brand, you will get different tinges at 6000k some are more blue than
others.

when it comes to installing a kit. do it yourself, save money and gain a little experience.
its not hard to install a hid kit, its just like changing a globe.

by the looks of things, you have HID's too?
They are not that easy to install mate, you've got to drill the holes through the dust caps.

yeah i do but mine are aimed down, so im not blinding oncoming road users
driven through dozens of booze buses
past countless numbers of police vehicles
haven't had any problems.

i didn't have to drill any holes when it came to installing mine

not all HID kits are exactly the same...theres some that may not need drilling at all...just depends on the brand of choice and what size globe its for

Just check if the CU2 have the dust cap if it does its need minor mods.

i didn't drill.. i just left the dust caps off :)

It's quite easy to do..just make sure you don't touch the bulbs with your fingers as you don't want to get oil on them..

Spose you could do that, but then of course you run the risk of getting shit stuck in the housing. Also you might get problems with condensation.

Sorry to hijack, but piccies would be good as I've got HID's to go in and dont want to drill the dust caps but also dont want to leave the dust caps off on the CL9.
