Hi all, just wondering...
Is there any difference between the 2 door and the 4 door front bar?
I sold my 4 door Civic, but I still got my front bar. Thinking of getting a hatch EG instead of finding another 4 door.
- Do I need to make any extensive modifications to the front bar in order to put it on the hatch?
- Or I have to find another 4 door EG/EH for the front bar?
Thanks for the info in advance people!

Oh another thing I am not sure of ...
I have got a set of 17x7.5 rims originally also for the 4 door EH, but didnt have the chance to put it on before I sold off the car.
- 7.5inch ... Can it suit the chassis of the EG/EH?
I think 7.5inch is abit the too broad, and may need some knocking on the inner walls right?
Thanks in advance for the info again people!

the 4 door front bar is slightly wider than the hatch and also is a bit longer. you could try to fit it but it wont be flush. you'll mainly notice it being too wide at the fenders and will stick out from the bonnet a bit. if you wanted it to be 100% neat and flush you would have to use 4 door fenders, bonnet and possibly radiator mount. 7.5" rims will be too wide and will scrub. will also be illegal as they will be wider than the guards. 7" is pretty much in line with the guards.

minor modification is needed to fit
Quote from JDM Honda Civic:
"take off ur front fenders, bumper, and corner lights and replace them with 2-door fenders, bumper and corner lights. im pretty sure the bumper mounts are the same, but dont hold me to it "
"the fenders dont fit. they are different sizes from the coupe/hatch to the sedan. all you really need to do is get a 2/3 door bumper and shave the area wher the corners come into the bumper and drill new holes for the screws by the fender. its pretty easy. check out my car in the EG "show off your sedans" page. its black and ive had it converted for over a year. or you can do it the hard way which is to cut the hatch and sedan fender in half and graph them togather and repaint, but that seems like a bitch and ive only seen one guy on her who went through all that."

one thing i wanna know is why would you want to put a sedan bumper on a hatch? As the hatch bumper is alot nicer than the sedan.

that you can be sure of, you need knocking. i'm currently running 18" mags so they're bigger i guarantee. i don't do full lock because of that.
it scrapes when i do full lock. go knock it in! =o)

yeah you can fit the hatch bumper onto 4 door with slight mod (some redrilling of holes near radiator and a little stretchin) but not other way as 4 door bumper is too big.
Dr4ag0n - how did you fit the bar? did it end up sitting flush with the bonnet?

hell no...not even close to flush. the gaurds needed to be reshaped near the part that meets up with the bar on both sides (enlarged the rim to suit the edge on the bar) and the screw holes in the middle of the bar where it meet with the bonnet need to be enlarged so that you can adjust the bar to be more flush with the slope of the bonnet.
in short, it would have been easier to get the gaurds off a hatch but more costly. oh and there is a lot of gap between the gaurd and headlight but i changed em to the projectors you see in the pic and they have a plastic cover thing around the sides of the headlight which cover the gap anyway. if you used the gaurds off a hatch, you won't have the gap. not sure about whether the indicators are different on the hatch and sedan. i think the sedan corner indicators are slightly bigger but the headlights are the same as hatch.

it stops at 180km/h and has red needles and numbers as opposed to the white needles and numbers and stops at 220km/h (or was that 240?)
