yeah but is there a vehicle harness that plugs straight into the foglight harness, or does it actually plug into the fuse box on one of them holes?

just had a look at mine and my fog light harness plugs into the car fog light harness found behind the driver side headlight. and the rest is done from in the car under the dash.
maybe yours is diff.

hey is your car from a prefacelift to facelift? also is it non-geniune foglight harness? if so the wiring is a little different. i also had the same problem with the matching heads of the brown cable. the grounding cable should be going to the dash and the brown needs to be spliced and wired to one of the 4th or 5th whole like rtn said, but for mine i cbf so i ran it to the back of the accessory plug. show me more of your harness so i can help you out.

it's a facelift model, it's aftermarket foglights, what i was thinking just get rid of the relay and do direct to the battery or find a poer source, the grounding cable can be grounded anywhere, doesn't have to go to the dash does it??
and the brown male connecter from the foglight harness that needs to be spliced and plug into the 4th or 5th hole?

what.. lol why dont you just try what I told you... just plug it into the 4th/5th hole see if it works or not? lol and no need to splice just plug it in.

Yeah, no splicing needed (when i did mine).
Just plug and play.

Like RtN has said, it probably plugs into the fuse box under the dash, which means it has to go through the firewall. You also have to ground one under the dash.

If you have connected everything up already (in the engine bay) then it should be that.

from memory this is how my foggies are wired. its an aftermarket set.

- a cable from a power source (which u get from the fuse box under ur steering wheel) goes to ur fog light switch.
- the switch also has a ground cable that u just connect newhere close and easy (this only powers the light inside the switch)
- from the switch, another cable goes thru ur firewall all the way to a relay which u mount near the battery.
- the relay should now have 3 wires coming from it. 1 comes from the switch in ur cabin, the 2nd goes to ur battery, and the 3rd goes to ur foglights. i think each light has its own ground too, which u just connect to the chassis.

no part of the kit connects to any stock wiring harness

hey mate, im gona assume this is an aftermarket foglight kit... i've installed one before and this is what i did..

pull off your drivers side panel surrounding the fusebox... then you'll see a the plugs above the fuse box... like so...

(this was taken from some american forum site, as i dont have time to pull out my interior panel atm)

http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/7038/f4se.jpg

The hole marked with a red X is where your plug should go... as i said this was taken from an american site, so the fuse box is the otherway round... the little tweezer tool, should be where the green X is marked when you look at your fusebox. If the second last hole doesnt work, try the middle one, its either one or the other, but pretty sure its where the red X is at.

hope that helps coz i had problems with the same plug... let me know how you go
