Hey all, im thinking of modifying my DC2R later on down the track and i would like to go a mild all motor build.
My car is pretty standard apart from exhaust and intake atm, but was looking to install modifications that wont really sacrifice reliability and fuel economy.
My thoughts were to run TWM individual throttles, running the stock injectors (they have a kit that utilizes the standard injectors) with a set of mild cams and a s200 hondata with a nice tune. And obviously headers and cat.
Basically, my question is, with a good tuner, can itb's be set up to run reliably for street use? Also using the stock injectors i cant see how they would use too much more fuel?
Thank you all - any imput on people who have done this would be greatly appreciated.

From my limited knowledge of ITBs I don't think you are going to get stock fuel economy but it might not be too bad. The part throttle fuel metering is just never going to be as good as an enclosed manifold as far as I know.
Do it though. If you work out how many ks you are actually going to drive the car you will realise that a slight increase in the amount of fuel used isn't going to be that significant when compared to the other large amounts of money you are going to use modifying and maintaining the car.

We are running TWM's. IMHO Dont buy them. Stickly throttle, doesnt idle below 1.5k. We had pulled apart changed linkages, bolts and still no luck. :thumbdwn:
Look into the A-sport ITB's. They suit a stock ITR motor well. Stock fuel rail and inecjtors are retained.

Excellent fatboyz. What are your opinion of itb's as far as performance? Were you pleased with the results? Also what fuel economy do you get from your setup? Reliable?
Thanks

Do you have a website or a stockist in australia who would sell these? (A-sport) I did a search but to no avail.
Thanks.

I thought the A-sports arent produced anymore? Unless fatboyz was referring to getting a second hand set?
Barefootbanzai has had A-sports on his b18c and they worked well.
What size throttle did you guys have on your setup fatboyz?
