This was discussed on a NZ forum some time ago:
General Motors owns Isuzu. General Motors sucks at making engines, and made a press release a while back saying that because they could not make an engine to pass the stringent California emissions protocol (it's not THAT hard, surely), they were buying 85,000 engines off Honda so they could have cars that passed emissions.
Of course, Honda got something out of it too, other than wads of cash that is - diesel technology. Honda is the largest producer of internal combustion engines in the world, but don't do diesel. Until now. Isuzu is arguably the world's best diesel manufacturer... and because of Honda's deal with GM, they got diesel. It's good for both manufacturers... because GM gets engines, Honda gets diesel, which (GM knew) they'll improve on, and since GM gets Honda engines anyway, GM will ultimately benefit from Honda having diesel.
But I digress. So it's all to do with that Honda / GM deal. GM owns Isuzu. Izusu gets to badge some Hondas as Isuzus, because GM wants to thank Honda for the deal. Izusu don't really make their own cars any more - they sell others under thier own name. Only 4wds are really Isuzus any more. So the Honda Domani gets badged Gemini, and the Accord gets badged... err... *squints at pic* can't see... Honda sells the Isuzu MU as the Jazz (Honda don't do diesel.. until now, remember?), and since GM owns Land Rover too, the Discovery as the Crossroads. I'm sure there are others.
The Rover / Honda deal was something different - but suffice to say in the early 90s Honda owned 20% of Rover. Honda isn't part owned by anyone else, unlike nearly all other car companies. I don't know if they own part of Rover any more.

i bought the car from a place in dandenong (Dandy Volks) i think it was about $12.5k... i really like the car but i would like to know if there were any parts that are interchangable... eg lights... as i dont like te rear lights... they have amber in them and it makes the car look older... most new cars have clear indicators with amber bulbs.... its little things.... i know the domaini was available in NZ but not here so it is hard to get info on it.... an that anyone has is most welcome.
