the car is sripped down at this moment for respray and minor alterations
the cars been going in the state before the 2nd charger and the awd bits
for a few years. well known in Cape Town as the fastest honda civic.
this thing is an animal on the road like no other!

the question about the tunnel - civic has plenty tunnel space from front to back to accomodate the propshaft.
the rear sparewheel well(body) had to be cut out(removed) and then refitted after the diff mount was done.

Well so far he has been correct about everything else he has done on the car...and by the reinforcements he has made on the rear i wouldnt see why he would do that for nothing. Although i would still like to see pics on the actual chassis work for the drive shaft and the customizing of the rear diff setup.

the turbo question -

i had a turbo on the car awhile back - terrible!
i make more power at 60% boost with the charger!
turbo creates to much heat in the engine bay,engine itself , and most importantly the intake air temp. and to lower the heat you must retard spark timing or use nos which is not always practical as a daily driver.

the only problem i had with the current centrifugal charger (like i had with the turbo aswell) is boost lag. boost only comes in strong at 4000rpm.
so i decided to add a small roots style blower on the plenum aswell.
this would give me 7psi instantly at any rpm below 4000rpm. and you can just imagine what happens when the 2 chargers overlap each other from that point on! and vtec adding to the insanity at 4200rpm!

i tried it all already. all the combinations. turbo + charger didn't work aswell as 2 chargers. i had a full- on jackson racing race supercharger kit and that was decent power up to 6000rpm, after that boost levels drop and power sucks.

superchargers are the way to go! ask sumone that knows!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your twin supercharger work is bang on for that setup - 4wd works it's butt off the best when theres power across the board - and given that you put some heavy duty gear in the diff/drivetrain to handle it - even a low boost will produce huge power - scaling as the engine revs higher.

REALLY well thought out - hope to see some videos of this some time soon, if done right it would truly be an animal.

broke rear driveshafts lastnite doing a video clip, smoking all 4's . was inevitable.
new thicker shafts and cv's in the works. should be rolling by the end of next week.
