Hi guys,

I'm doing a OBDI to OBDI conversion B16A From EG6 into a AUS-EG5 SI. The EG6 runs a power steering sensor/switch on the high pressure line. Is this required in the swap?

I see in this thread http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30312 OBDI to OBDII that ECU-MAN has used the line in his swap...

I have a mate with an EG2 Del Sol B16A2 which does not have this sensor/switch... Can anyone shed some light on exactly what it is, what it does, why it is needed and will it throw any warning codes?

Also in relation to cams, does anyone know cam codes for B16A so I can see if the cams in the swap motor have been changed at some point.

Cheers, Ian

u dont need it.

it just smooths the idle when it senses a big power steer load on the motor.

so if u really are annoyed by your idle dipping about 100-150rpm when u turn the wheel, then put it on,if not just leave it off like the rest of us.

no codes`will be thrown

Nice! didn't think it was required

Only get big loads when your going slow... Not part of my plan!

if your A/C is on full tilt & u decide to turn on a big electrical load while trying to pull into a tight parking spot....& ur car stalls.......... big deal.....just start it up again & finish off the park.
