I'm currently wiring in a pr3 ecu for a b16 motor, and i'm up to wiring in the brake switch, but i'm not sure where to source it from...

any ideas?

id hook it to the brake switch considering its the brake switch wire.

mid to top of brake pedal is the switch, connect wire from ecu to the dead side of the switch.

ohh, okay, i wasn't sure which part of the brake it was referring to... (hand brake, wires coming out of the brake cylinder etc..)

sound easy enough, i'll go inspect the brake switch. is there any reason why my previous ECU wouldn't already have had it wired in? (auto d16a3 ecu, pw0 i think...)

i think it was first introduced around the pW0,pR3 era,so its only the later versions that had it.

u really dont need it,its just an idle smoothing thing cos the brake booster temporarily upsets the intake manifold pressure when u stomp on the pedal.

ahh, riteo.. i was wondering that too, what relevance it had to the ecu.

cool cool, thanks for your help
