I have just gone to fit a set of coil overs to my car and the sway arms that ment to fit my car are 3"'s short. Is there any way that I can get custom sway arms made up or get the other arms extended. I can get pics tomorrow so I can get a more in depth analysis but here is my car now how the front sits. Thanks guys your help is mutely appreciated.

3 inch ? please try to be metric in this day and age....

anyway - 3 inch too short - in what particular measurement ? either side ? from the LCA swaybar mount ?

Please post up RELEVANT images of the problem - so us net nerds can give u some opinions....

Ok at the moment if you look at the currnet sway bar setup where the shock currently mounts to is about 110mm's from where it ataches to the disk and rotor and all that. When the new sway arms are fitted where the shock lines up with the hole for the disk. Will post photos at about 3pm toomorow. Im thinking that extending the end that mounts to the chasy is the best way to go so im only moving one mount not two. Also the coilovers bolt up differently than the old sway arms so using the stock arms is not an option.

the rear sway arms i am talking about are shown here

Just judging from your pix and lack of proper description - you have a EK GLi - which DIDNT come stock with a rear swaybar.

YOU can fit DC/EG/EK Lower control arms with swaybar connector bolt-holes - but you have to drill into the subframe ( the adjoining part of the chassis , directly connected to the LCA) to match up stock EK4/DC2/EG5 mounting .

More fotos please !

Its not a sway bar itself im trying to fit. Because the coilovers mount differently to the sway arm they come with new sway arm that is 110mm's short. I will get pics tomorow.

If its 3" too short.....you most likely have the wrong part.

No point trying to make it fit.......just get the correct part.

THose Lower control arms or "sway arms" as you have called them - are EG civic or DC integra series - either JDM eg6 or DC2...looks like you will have to find JDM Ek9 lower control arms ( any other JDM EK control arm might fit too)

your problem is
you bought the wrong coilovers/LCAs for your car
#1 EK9 shocks are FORK type, so even if you get the EK9 LCAs it won't fit (mods aren't always right)
#2 sell off the whole system now to a EG/DC owner and buy a EK setup instead of getting yourself more headaches

^^^^^ this bloke is actually right.

you are using a system that wasn't mean for your car in the first place.

if you reckon the seller told you it would fit, maybe you should take it up with him, either for a refund or an exchange for the right set.

else you are looking like throw more money on a dubious purchase....
