adnoh all you do is unplug the 4 ignition wires and then unbolt 8 nuts and 8 washers on the rocker/valve cover and thats it. Theres nothing more to it. I can show you pictures if you would like.

plus remove intake hoses connected to rocker cover
also i would replace with a new rocker cover gasket at the same time
most tend to be hard by now
but using your old one ,use some gasket silicon in each corner and middle
also dont tighten your bolts to hard

oh and dont forget to undo grounding wire and to put it back on lol

if u dont torque it down evenly,u risk oil leaks...yuk....messy
or even more humiliating,u'll join the honda snapped rocker cover stud club, thats famous all over the world......delicate little things.........

after u done one,u'll get the idea & can just do it by hand in future...

Meh ive removed my cover over 20 times and ive never worried about torque settings and mine are fine but obviously your not going to go tightening them with all of your strength. After working on cars for a while you start to understand what type of bolt requires what type of tightening.

But i would say honda manuals have torque settings for just about any bolt on the car. So if you really are unsure how much to tighten a bolt then its a good way to check.

Hope that also helps with the removal of the valve cover

Yep a blade is perfectly fine to remove that excess silicone.

should I put the new silicon around the (new)gasket or just put some onto those sharp corners(cam corners) ?

thanks :)

I recommend it but some people suggest not to put any.

Well i would put it on top of the complete seals. The High temp silicone but some people dont put sealer on at all. Its upto you
