I only know 4 brands that make exhaust systems for the RB1

Mugen
Fujitsubo - Wagolis
HKS - HiPower 409, and LegaMax Premium
Tanabe - (according to their website) Medalion EXE, Style, Touring, G-Fordan, ER Tune

Mugen and Fujitsubo, can be found with the traders, just have to ask them.
HKS, I think have distributors Australia wide
Tanabe, I have no idea

Mugen, Fujitsubo and HKS are cat back systems, while Tanabe has axel back and cat back, depending on models. You might be up for roughly $1,500 to $2,000 for cat back systems.

One thing to note, just make sure they give you the exhaust for the 160 bhp engine not the 200 bhp (Absolute verson) engine as the Absolute piping is larger in diameter and will not fit our model RB1s.

I'm still on stock exhaust with just a aftermarket exhaust tip. So far I think there is only one member here on a Fujitsubo cat back system(aka_NSX). A few others are using the S2000 exhaust tips.

All up to you, but if you are just after looks, I suggest going down the S2000 tip replacement look, if performance... hmmm... you might be disappointed.

wah Evo, detail report and tks.

yes Jonesy, welcome onboard with family wagon. just my 2 cents, if u look for performance don't bother to change the exhaust on RB1. might spend money on modding brake or handling will have more fun. if u look for "sound", any customise exhaust muffler shops would help.

Anyone use aftermarket intake? I'm still deciding whether make a custome intake or buy aftermarket intake like Apexi, TopFuel, etc.

I'm only on HKS panel filter. But believe Noblesse is the way for u to go:

Any link for the Noblesse intake? Is that your engine bay? Can we change the intake manifold cover instead using that crap black plastic cover?

here is the link but under Japanese, just play around and you will find it:
http://www.club-miniban.com/noblesse.html

Mines look like it but no money for the Noblesse intake. took the intake cover on top of engine off then replace by CL7 cover (need to replace the studs and nuts). Let me know how much it will be if you ordering the Noblesse one.

I'll let you know. I'll ask the price from a person in Japan. Where did you buy the CL7 cover?

bought the used CL7/TSX cover fm USA cost AUD75.00 shipped. Honda dealers will need an arm and leg for this cover but the bolts/nuts for fixing were fm dealer cost abt AUD30+ (can't remember)

Can we use the CL9 cover?

evolution

I think what Aus meant was the CL9 cover. Yes you can transpalnt your CL9 cover over to your RB1, but you will have to change the cold air feed tubing as it is attached to the engine cover.

I'm also using the HKS drop in panel, waiting for it to get dirty so that I can try my K&N panel. I believe that there is a typhoon kit for our RB1. Another one I have seen is BMC CDI carbon fibre air box. Cost about $600 in Singapore
. Will dig up photos tonite.

Tks Evo for correcting the info :) yeah, CL7/9/TSX will do but definitely not DC5/EP3 fm K20A as learn that fm hard way :( see the difference:

K&N Typhoon kit can also fit RB1 especially they comes with the U shape tube. Hurry up Evo, need pics.........

no pics of the typhoon kit, was going to post the BMC CDI kit... Sorry.

As a side note, the K&N panel is of a differnt shape from our HKS panel, but it still fits fine.

I might try my euro's cover before i buy.

you will still need to find a hose to join the front of the cold air feed to the back cos the middle section is joined to the engine cover which needs to come out.

u need new bolts and nuts to make it fit

flexible hose can be found in Clarks rubber with outside diameter 2.5"

after 30 mins search, found the pics of K&N Typhoon filter fitted on RB1 in China:

Chris, i got the prices for the Noblesse intake kit. He said that the intake is for Odyssey Aboslute so we need more parts for standard Odyssey. Here's his reply:

NOBLESSE Super BOX (air cleaner)
For RB1 Absolute
*if the car is standard, (not absolute) extra parts will be required.

- box with red filter cover.....$1260
- box with carbone cover........$1440
also you need, intake manifold cover,
Silver..........................$120
black...........................$73
EMS.............$90 (for one box and one intake cover)

The item will be made 1 month after ordering.

It's too expensive for me. I might just buy Apexi power intake and make a custom box & hose. It's only $270 delivered. I might just buy the intake manifold cover, not that expensive.
