Hows it goin guys, just wanted to know if there are any visible differences or any ways of tellin if ur lookin at a 98 or 96 spec JDM ITR motor?

I am purchasing a JDM B18C-R but the seller doesnt hav any idea whether its 96 or 98 spec? Are there different engine codes on the block or any other differences that distinguish the 2?

Im not 2 fussed as the engines are pretty much identical in performance but from what ive researched the 98 spec is slightly more reliable as it was machine made.

I believe the engine comes with the stock exhaust manifold so did they differ at all?

Cheers 4 any imput!
