Where the hell are you from? I'd love to find something like this! Are you sure its even a D15B SOHC VTEC ? Because Del Sols only came with B16A's... And they're DOHC VTEC

vtec... not v-tech
in US del sols had d series engines in them too. probably in other markets too.

Alright, so it is possible...
Could you clarify whether the D15's are Carbie or EFI?
If they're both EFI, you simply swap the VTEC head over, swap the ECU and swap the wiring... Should all be straight forward.

Are you sure, I have read about some desols that came with d15b sohc vtecs....
I had the D15b sohc vtec in my ED civic, It required a wiring transfer from OBD0 to OBD1, but i belive your car should be obd1,
It should pretty much be a straight swap, then run a couple of extra wires from the ecu to the associated sensors. (ie vtec solenoid)
if your civic is carby then you would be required to make a custom fuel setup, which my civic had also...
hope this helps

it is definitly a d15b v-tech, i took the rocker cover off to check this
D15B uses Z6 pistons/rings/bearings but using D15Z1 based rods & crankshaft, I believe its a d16z6 head thats fitted to them, so its a bit of a hybrid.
both cars are EFI but the civic is single point and the del sol is multi point.
would the del sol loom work in the civic or would it be best to just add some extra wires??

You are correct in the hibrid saying... It is the d16z6 head on the d15z1 block, but with stronger rods then the d15z1.
Loom wise, I have never dealt with a single point vs multi point looms... I would email ECU_MAN as he is a electronics god and will most likely be able to answer your question without a hassle.

Indeed ECU Man is the bloke to talk to...
If you're taking out your non vtec and putting in the vtec engine you'll have to swap the ecu, i think it will be easier to keep your current wiring and simply take some wires your DelSol has and plug them where your LSI doesn't have them... As for single and multi point injection, I think after installing the Del Sol ECU and replacing then engine, the ECU will detect the same engine - therefore recognising the MultiPoint Injection...
I made a mistake, never knew DelSols had D15's in them...
And yeah, you can use the DelSol wiring harness
Goodluck
