96 accord vtis digital climate control

guys has anyone of you encounter a problem with your digital climate control (if ur car comes with it) in the past few days, every time i get in my car n go to work in the morning, the a/c control is not working, but it will work after a couple of mins (5-10mins) but when im going home n start the car the a/c control works fine, my theory is that car is cold in the morning especially the inside cause its leader. and in the arvo the car is warm. if i park it on the shade.

i never had this problem before, juts recent, any idea guys? :confused::confused:

These are a retrofit, so someone has put it in and replaced the original dash which looked like,

But of course, that's a right hand drive, but its the same dash for left hand drive also.

I know Gen5alive have a write up about the wiring diagram for the JDM dash, if that's of any help if you wanna take your dash apart and look at the wiring harness, but then again it could be the actual unit that's causing you grief

Hmm no. The aus delivered vtis (1996 model and up) came standard with digital climate control, not retrofit. I had one also when I used to have vtis accord aus delivered. Mine however never had the problem described.

i was thinking to swap it to analog ones, do u think thats possible or to much hassle? or maybe ur right its the actual unit. actualy this is my second JDM digital unit, when i got the car it was totally not working unless the car is hot(inside, especially during summer) then i bought the second one from vic. (second hand) and when i put it one it was working properly. but now its playing up. does this JDM did climate has a sensor or something? cause like i said from the first thread, when d inside is cold (in the morning) this unit it DEAD. n it will switch on after couple of mins..

Hmm I've been thinking about doing the conversion to digital. Do you remember how much you paid for the replacement unit, and did it come with the wiring/sensors?

i think i got for $300 something, but that was ages ago, its just the unit itself no wiring or sensors..

just an update about this thread. heres my first jdm climate unit (broken) do you guys know anyplace where i can get this fix or any ideas why is my second cjdm climate unit playing up? is the any sensors inside n car or outside?

I see no one has posted in a long time but my climate control shat itself and I can't find any second hand units. Can anyone tell me a place I may find a unit it's going to cost $500+ to fix.

Obviously I have been looking and asking all the honda wreckers and even just wrecking yards in my area and other towns but no luck that's why I said I can't find a second hand unit. I was hoping someone would know a cheaper repair place or even have one in storage for sale. Also eBay and anyone selling honda parts on eBay I have tried with no luck.
