sounds like its time for an adjustment or replacement...
depends how you've (and previous owners if any) drove the car
how many kms has it done?

Hydraulic Clutch is not adjustible.

Dundas, did your clutch also smell when it was slipping.
you say its ok today. if it is chances are after some hard driving and heat, your clutch is slipping OR your Clutch master Cylinder is low on fluid or leaking. so with heat it wont operate correcly. this will not cause clutch to slip but will make the pedal weird. It felt fine last week when I took it for a spin.

do u mean your pedal didnt come back up, or your clutch didn't re-engage when your pedal came up???

hey dundas,
is it because you did that burnout with the handbrakey last night?
lol
my clutch is feeling shit these days too
a test.. is
to put it in 4th gear, drop teh clutch (as fast as u can)
and if it stalls in a big quick clunk then its good
if it takes a while to stall (maybe half a second) then its no good
lol

i thought the way to do that test was to release your 4th gear slowly and you should be able to stop your car from stalling in 4th with the clutch unengaged and the car stationary...

sounds like you just put too much heat into it...may have put some hotspots on the flywheel but it should be fine and drivable for a while yet ;)
