hey all - noob question

hey all, tried searching but am bit confused.
first time Honda owner, well Rover 416i really 1986 model with full electrics.

Couple issues, seems to rev really high - up around 1800, but sometimes drops to 1000.

and when stopped soemtimes i have to put it in neutral then back in Drive, otherwise the whole car shudders and shakes real bad !.

and sometimes oil light comes on - there is plenty of oil.

any info appreciated - or even post links if you prefer.

do you turn on your air con when it drops? if so it could be because of the air con compressor kick in.

Air con doesnt seem to even work, and funnily enough I have even noticed the hazard lights don't work eithier. Weird !
