Hey guys,

Im looking at getting a new front bumper and have been quoted a few prices. One is an apparent OEM selling for $250, but will do it for $180. I can also get another for $100(Aftermarket). Now, is there any way of telling the difference between the two. I don't want to buy the apparent OEM and find out its actually an after market one.

Also, whats the quailty and fitting like on these aftermarket ones. BTW, its for an 99-00 civic.

Cheers

i got my aftermarket bar from race nation and im very happy with the fittment,
i think all the OEM bars would have a honda sign tag somewhere on the bar just look around.
here is a pic of mine when i fitted my bar on.

Honda bumpers fit better full stop (the top corners near the lights on the a/m item are sloped for one.. They just look bad, prob look better if you had an aftermarket hood as they sit slightly lopsided from 90% of the time)

would never put aftermarket on it, theyre cheap enough as it is for me to buy new

well for EG's and EK' civics aftermarket OEM replacement bars are easier to get..
and theres no more genuine new bars floating around these days unless it's 2nd from the wreckers
