I had a dc2r vehicle inspection done by RACV, and the mechanic told me that this mounts split and perished. I don't have a clue what this is.. What is it? And how much does it cost to replace this?

they are rubber mounts that keep ur motor in ur car. replacing them will be fairly expensive as u need to remove the motor. the mounts themselves are about 100-150

um..like i said bout 100-150 a mount plus couple hundred to remove te motor. i only ever had mine done wen i also got a new clutch put in so the motor was already out. probly looking at 400-500ish to take motor out. call some mechanics and get some quotes

lol man no need to remove motor from the car to change engine mounts. That funny shit. Not a big issue depends which mounts are gone will determine how much it will cost to replace. They are easy to replace the only hard one to change is the rear one. It is made a lot easier if you have access to a hoist

You don't have to take the motor out to repace the engine mounts...

Depending on what type of mounts you want will determine the price.

Solid performance orientated ones are worth around 500 a set.

Oem ones from Honda au don't bother. It will cost way too much. If you want oem go find some good condition 2nd hand ones from the wreckers or where ever you can find them. Should be looking at roughly 50-150 each. Just find out which mounts you need to replace an replace them individually.

Installation depending on where you go and how mamy need repalcing for the mounts alone will be about 100-300.
