Hi all,

I put a post up a few weeks ago about a dc5 facelift conversion. I figured that it would be too expensive and much easier if i just found myself the facelift upgrade model instead of change the parts.

Now i'm after the luxury in auto. I know, I know, manual is faster, save for a DC5R or DC5S but i'm not after performance or performance mods. I just really like the look of the car and that does it for me! :). I've driven a couple and although it does lack power it's still happy to rev, handles nicely and a fun car overall.

I've been looking at private sales and noticed that prices can range anywhere between mid teens to late 20s. I'm hoping to spend around 17k but willing to put a bit more on top if I need to. Would my budget be able to get me one or are they worth more? Also how many kms would the car approximately have?

Also, does anyone wanna sell theirs? LOL. I'm after Black, White or maybe Silver. Don't really like any of the other colours. Can't wait, this is going to be my first car! :D

I did a quik search on carsales.. judging from the prices.. I think as type s tony has said.. you miiightt need to spend a bit more unless you really find a bargain.
I found a black luxury auto for 16,000 but with 127000 kms.. so the general rule is the less kms you want on your car.. the more your going to be paying.
If it is going to be your daily.. I really wouldnt fuss TOO much over kms (unless the kms on the car for sale is rediculous like 200,000 for a 6 yr old car).. just look for full log books etc and you should be fine seeing as its a farely new car anyway

Check this one out for 16k

I've gone to check this one out. There's a bit of a gap between the headlight and the bumper. Looks like it had been hit before and not repaired too good. Does it matter that much or should i steer clear from these cars.

Yeah it will be my daily, for like the next 5 years. Would 120 000kms be ok or should i look for lower? There's not too many under 100 000kms

Learn manual & get an S or an R, much better value for money & more economical on repairs & petrol in the long run!
