Toda Cams are much better than ITR cams (even the A spec), but you pay for what you get.

Also you'll need some headwork and some tuning to make use of either of them

after market cams will let your car rev more and quicker...stock cams will stop at around 8000rpm

ITR cams are a stock honda cams, Toda C are big aftermarket cams. There would be a massive difference in power. ITR cams would come on their "power" earlier but with less power and the Toda Spec C will come on their preffered power later but with a lot more power. As was said above you get what you pay for. Toda C will give you alot more power from idle to redline. Where as with the ITR cam you will only have a little bit more power from vtec onwards.

for a mild upgrade and cheaper type r will do in your b16a

for more hardcore worked motors the type c's are a more the go
but you need other things like tuning to make them work to their potentiall
also other things that are needed so cost are significantly higher

for street and daily type r cams will do
you will need at a min type r valve springs

toda cam will be more powerful and expensive than ITR 99 cam, and also u must need an aftermarket ecu to run particular toda spec b or spec c cam. on the other hand, the ecu may not need to upgrade if run ITR cam, but at least a vtec controller to adjust air flow.

the valve springs and retainers are need to be upgraded for both ITR cams and TODA cams. As most ppl run ITR/CTR cams with ITR oem dual springs. But TODA cam need TODA valve springs. hope this can help.

at least a vtec controller to adjust air flow.

Care to explain how a vtec controller can adjust air flow? All it does is allow you to change vtec cross-over points

prolly meant safc
...to control fuel flow
air flow is "adjusted" via throttle body...

You seem like a decent guy so im going to give you a good advice... stick to OEM ITR cams

KLR-16A: Listen to the advice....

I just noticed your WTB thread here:
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=112354

Please tell me you've at least done sufficient research and you weren't planning on chucking Toda C cams straight into a B16a?

Since you mentioned "buildin", what are your plans for the motor, as in what else do you have planned to go in and get done apart from the cams?

toda spec C cams work well on b16a's, i've got them in my car on a standard bottom end and i made 118 kw's atw's and 13.9 at 98mph 2.0 sixty foot and my car weighed 1050 kg without driver. take my advice, for the power you want you need bigger cams then ITR.

No but i wish i did right now!

Who tells you that they arent good under partial throttle.? Its bullshit because my delsol is my DAILY car I drive every single day its the only car I own.. If it was not driveable do you think i would keep the cams?

The partial Throttle was a big improvement over the stockk b16a2 primary cam... which is the same as the ITR cam..

vtec = driveability
most of the time the under vtec cams are identical for good daily driving.

Del - just a question did you do the valves & valve springs when you dropped the cams in?

just did valve springs, left the standard valves.
