Hi, I'm just wondering if there is any system in Aus that does the same thing as the following system

It's an immobilizer that will automatically unlock the door when you approach and lock when you walk away, so you don't even need to press any buttons. Also according to the website it can be hooked up to an aftermarket Push Button Start without key insertion, but still retains the ability to do so if you want. It is something like the immobiliser system on a Lexus IS250.

I have tried looking at quite a few car alarm sites, but I can't seem to find anyone else in Oz that does this (Viper,moongose,Rhino etc), mostly just do remote start and alarms. Can anyone recommend any other places in WA that may have such systems

If I can't find one in Aus, I thought of buying the module from overseas and get a professional to install it here (if it comes with any instructions), but then it begs the question of legality and insurance, not sure how would that work because I assume it may not be Aus compliant.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes Mongoose are about to release the M18 system that has the same concept for unlocking the car and the doors.

Thanks for pointing the Mongoose system out. I called a few installers in WA and they bascially all the said the same thing, the Mongoose systems are non-compliant and not insurance friendly due to the wire colouring and the number of immobilization points hence nobody carries it here. In fact none of them know of any WA compliant system that does it.

Anyway thanks for the help but it looks like the 'bling' factor isn't going to out weigh the trouble, so I'm going to shelve the idea for now.
