View Full Version : realy tight sparkplugs

own a 1989 3 door civic with twin carb 1.5 engine trying to get spark plugs out turning anti clockwise they are extremely tight and barely turning any idea's why or how to fix? thanks any help

warm the engine till its hot then try removing it if it doesnt work you could try spraying some thread anti seize then work it back and forth till it comes loose

Let it cool.....

More hot=expanding metal=harder to turn.

i can them to move slightly but they are extremely tight im worried previous owner may have threaded the shit out of them... if they were seased they should become loose after they are "cracked" ?

spray wd40 to loosen the plugs n let t sit 4 abit,the last person who did plugs didn't use abit of grease on the thread so they kind of stuck in the head.when u start the engine there will be abit of smoke
