True. The CU2 was released in late May 2008: Nearly there......Gee, nearly a year and they haven't solved the pinging problem yet.

I was quoted $220 for my 10k service.... prices seem to be a little higher in Melbourne :( $220 seems a lot for an oil change and filter

no filter change @ 10,000 unless you ask for it. 10,000 & 30,000 is basically just an oil change, 20,000 is oil change & filter.

Genuine oil, filter & washer casts me $47 + 1/2 hour of my time. I refuse to pay a dealer in excess of $100 labour to do an oil change.

Thanks guys!! appreciate the responses, I'm up for my 10K, and yea I included the other services for those who drive allot and have had their 20K+.
Anyways thanks!! You guys are the best!!
It’s good to know the average price and hope the service center doesn't quote a ridiculous price. Times are tough, and I need to save every dollar I got!! :o

As long as i use genuine parts the stamp is not a problem. Good relations with the dealer & being a licensed mechanic has its advantages.

Hey all,

Just an update for those who still didn't have their 10K, I was quoted $240 they tried to throw in other services, I said no to all of them. Still came to $240.
Anyone know if is it the norm, for Honda service centres to quote different prices? or would others in the same metropolitian area do it for a lower price?

I was quoted 184 for 10k service in sydney, plus 25 (incl labour) for the oil filter change

I could so easily do this myself, but don't want to mess around with my 5yrs warranty...

250$ for me for 20K service. Parts and labour.

One question for you guys, what oil to choose from. Mobil or Honda ?
Same price for both, but need some advice

Thanks

I have decided to stick with genuine Honda FEO oil as by going this way I am able to get my book stamped
5 Lts FEO Oil $37.20 + Tax
Genuine Oil Filter $15.78 + tax

Total = $58.30. I do the labour, so this will be the cost of 10, 20 & 30,000km Services.
Paying around the $200 mark for what is basically just an oil change is just a huge rip off.
I wouls Suggest some of you guys get a price from Ultra Tune as you can still get your book stamped & I am sure there would be huge savings to be made.
My call would just be returning to Honda dealer for major services.

Welcome back buddah!Ultra Tune,Hmmm.I've heard some not so good things about them from a mate of mine that has a workshop next to one.Still i suppose if you BYO oil you can't really go wrong.

Ultra Tune are like any workshop Tony in as much as it is not the company, but the people working within that company. In that regard it is no different to any dealership. There are Mechanics & would be Mechanics, yet both hold the same qualifications. That's why no one touches my car except me.

As for oil, I had intended going Mobil 1 for my CU2, but if I did that i would not have been able to get my book stamped, so it's genuine oil & filter every 5,000km (about 10 weeks driving) as well as saving over $100 each time.

I just logged onto honda one, last time i logged in was when i signed up, and notice it didn't show my last service. when i've only went to the same service center/dealship all along. might need to call them up, but I don't want to deal with this dodgy dealship anymore.

I'm thinking about changing for my 20K service, anyone in the sydney area get their 20K service recently? from a Honda Service Center? what price were you quoted?

If its too expensive I might really get my car serviced elsewhere, seeing that the price I pay for its not worth the effort of these poor service dealerships/service centers.

Thanks.
