smashed back windscreen on my DC5 :'(

What a weekend, walked outside to my car parked at the front of the party and noticing the moon reflecting off it abit odd, finding it to be shattered. Found a small spot where it started guess it looked like a bottle or something must of hit it. Spewing most of the party go'ers there are good mates and there was some randoms inside and few walking by the house. That's the story anyways, but I just rang up some local windscreen repairer and gave me a rough quote around 1k?! I think that's ordering the screen in and everything done. But the price was abit high for a windscreen?

Could be expensive because of the rear window demister element.

Its a big chunky piece of glass & like aarong said it has the demister element inside it so $1000 bucks sound like a half decent price as their is a fair bit of effort involved in reaplacing it
