View Full Version : Vti-R: what tyres to buy for stock alloys?

Hi All,

Was unlucky to get a flat front left tyre a few days ago and so am looking to change all four (they are quite worn down, pretty much to the tread wear indicator).

I havent kept up to date with tyres atm and so am really not sure what is even good to get. The tyres on there, bought a number of years ago are Dunlop Direzza DZ101.

The other thing is, I'm not looking to spend too much as I'm probably going to sell the car in the next 6 - 12 months, so I'd be after good value for money tyres that aren't crap but are fairly reasonable.

Would love to hear what recommendations people might have - thanks!

Thx 4 replies.... meant to mention that I'm in Bris. Anyone from here know of good ones to get?

I've been recommended these "Nexen CP641" and also "Maxxis MAP1"as low-cost but good value for money tyres. Anyone used these/recomend one or either ?

Nexen seems to be brilliant bang for buck. I had nexen n2000's or something in 13'' on my torana hatch.. ran bloody brilliant.. wear is good as long as wheels are balanced.. great grip in wet and dry.
