Anyone had experience with two Non-Reclinable racing seats in an EG hatch? Im replacing my Crappy autotechina seats with some proper racing seats and i like the idea of non-recliner seats but i dont want to miss match.

Also are the non-reclinables a pain in the a$$ for daily drive?

I dont have many people get into the back seats but is it still possible to put people in if needed?

You can't get people in and out the back of a 2-door with a non-reclining seat......

it wont be road registerable if you have non reclining seats in a 2 dr car unless you register the car as a 2 seater only.

I believe you have to remove the rear seats AND re-register it.

> some proper racing seats

Seats have to have a ADR approval, 'proper' racing seats don't always.
If they're bottom mount seats, you''l need new rails and need to get them approved.

Otherwise it's a ticket for you, do not pass go.

Horses for courses. They're approved and priced well.

Have a look at something like

an ghetto version of this is baby capsule lock/clamp.

lets assume you are getting bucket seat as its not Reclinable. for an eg, you cant squeeze past the seats to get into the back so probably no rear passengers after change of seats.

it really depends on what kind of bucket seat you are getting. the bolsters differ between brands so i guess is quality comes with a price as well. most bucket seats uses side mount. not too sure about that gotta check it b4 you get the seats you want.

I'm very happy with fixed back racing seat for my daily. I do hve a reclinable recaro passenger seat for their comfort though.

You can get AdR approved race seats from Velo. They make seats for v8 supercar teams.

Make sure passenger seat is big enough for different siZed passengers LOL

With most fixed back seats you can't fit in between the seats, plus its illegal to have 2 buckets seats in a 2-door car without removing rear seats and re-registering as a two-seater.

Wouldnt mind putting a cage in my car and registering it as a 2 seater. Only 2-3 times a year do i put people in the back. Hate is also cos my sussy is setup just for 1-2 people in it.
