hello just another noob question!
i have a 17" inch and currently have a 205/40/17
and this guy want to swap his 17"inch rims and tyres of 215/40/17 for mine but his tyres are defective!

is it possible to put my 205/40/17 tyres on his 17" rims?

yes.. both of you make an appointment to get them swapped at a tyre shop together

just cause they are are different profile and width, they are still 17" wheels.
go to a tyre place like dsp said.
