atm i have custom exhaust and is DRONEY as HELL!!!
and its WAYYYYYYYYYY to loud..
im really keen on the mugen twinloop but its hard to get hands on one

2 grand for a muffler! you gotta be kidding me
surely theres another way

how does the xforce twinloop fare against the mugen version?

EDIT: hang on is the mugen twinloop sold as an entire catback? if so that explains the price more

It's an entire catback, not just a muffler.

authentic mugen a lot better quality...diff class altogether.

depends on your budget really, if you can afford it go for it! mugen twinloop has an awesome sound, you'd love going under tunnels over and over again! haha

cant comment on mugen tl

but hks silent power is pretty quiet (i assume thats what you want)
not droney at all.. got a good note and sounds sweet in WOT..

the muffler hangs abit low though so you might scrape abit

yeah ive heard that the mugen TL is better than the xforce TL but that could just be jdm whores assuming it is coz ones mugen and ones not

does the mugen TL have any other mufflers/resi's further up the catback?

As if you'd spend 2 grand on a Stainless steel exhaust! I'd rather put a bit more in, and get a full Titanium J's Racing catback.

As if spend 2k on a J's Racing exhaust when you can get a superior Amuse exhaust for around the same amount :p.

okay.. so the mugen twinloop might just be a tad bit more then i wanna spend
can anyone recommend an exhaust system that is quiet and will give me gains...

my next option was the hks hi power silent what r ur thoughts??

you can go custom if you wanna spend less, as long as its all to the specification you want.

that is the right amount of mufflers, resonators, piping size, mandrel bent or not etc

you can choose whatever muffler you like for it, the xforce tl is very quiet, but a well set out system with a regular oval type muffler can still be quiet

lukey also make a good tri flow muffler, its called the "turbo" i think and is resonably quiet as the gasses follow an S shaped path in the muffler. theres infinite possibilities

nah your wrong most of ozhonda buys x force twin loops
so it must be the better value for money
why would you pay for something that is overpriced and can be had for alot less

im not saying xforce arent value for money dude. I was saying mugen is no doubt better quality - have you compared them side by side? even the sound alone is different. and you dont quite compare a honda civic to a legend for example.

if you want something reasonable with a limited budget you go for the xforce, you wanna spend a bit more you go for the 5zigen, more still go for the mugen, wanna spend more, get hitech, maybe smsp, the list goes on, many choices to choose from but most peoples choices are governed by their budget. traders on here still do manage to sell their more "expensive" gear after all...

hence i was recommending the mugen if he could afford it, otherwise go the xforce...

If its too expensive get a Fujitsubo man (RM01A or Powergetter).. I had a custom mandrel bent exhaust and it was way too fkn loud.. Just bought a Fujitsubo powergetter and I LOVE IT!! I think there is a guy in the traders section selling one second hand.

wow i dont mind that sound hey..!!
sounds pretty good i just looked up the 5Zigen Pro Racer A Spec
it doesnt sound too bad as well.. not too loud..

but then again compared to my exhaust alot of these ones sound really quiet hey
oh yea.. im more so concerned about inside the car.. coz with my current exhaust..
i cant even hold a conversation in the car.. i would be screaming to talk to ppl in my car.. is the fujitsubo pretty quiet in the car if not non exsistent.. only when vtec kicks in??

Yep I used to have to do the same man.. Scream when talking in the car - was fkn deafening! If you want a quiet exhaust with power gains etc you cant go wrong with the fujitsubo..

I actually stopped driving my car alot because it was so loud.. I replaced the mufflers a couple of times which quietened the car a bit but the car drove like a pig. It felt like it was choking. I kinda wished I had bought the Fujitsubo a long time ago!

cool.. i thought it was only my car that was damn loud hahaha
i mean dont even bother trying to talk/scream while vtec is screaming LOL
but yea im getting a few prices around the place now
my friend told me to wait a lil bit he will look for a mugen for me
but i've sent emails to different places will see what happens
if all else fails its looking like the fujitsubo powergetter :D thanks for all ur replies peepz big help!!!

i have powergetter on dc2r, i find it not droney betweeen 2000 to 2400 rpm and 4000 to 4400 rpm. drone between 2400 to 4000rpm. so cruising speed of 70kmh and above in 5th is droooooooooooone...
