Im sure i heard from someone Stech's are quiet soft, which means the std shocks will eventually need replacing for stiffer ones..

Ive fitted skunk2 (2.5") lowering springs with my std shocks and everything is fine so far...

but if you only lower around 1.3" they should be fine.

Ide try looking at something like pedders, they have a huge range of different height springs for every model of car, and are really competitively priced, I had pedders on my first car and ide have to say they worked really well. prob best to ask you mechanic to get a price for you so you can pay mates rates

Spoon Progressives will drop a Type R 25mm, I don't know how high the Base model sits in comparison though.
