fd2 honda civic sport help

Hi guys,

I was wondering if you able to upgrade the honda civic sport (fd2) 5 speed tranny to a 6 speed by using others k20z 6 speed tranny from either intergra type S or from another model?

I know the fd2 is running with k20z2 will it be any different with other k20z tranny?

not 100% sure about the straight swap for it.

but you can always source a wrecked Type S or whatever, and take the box and fit the 3rd to 5th gear (is better, cos they are a closer ratio gears on the type S) and then add the sixth gear on the countershaft.

u will also need to change the main ball bearing and the synchro rings for the sixth gear (other bearings and spacers may be needed) and freshened the whole thing up.

its alot more detail, but I believe tranny specialist can help u out with this build.
