Hey there guys can any one give me a good build that will add 30 or so KW at the motor to a Gsi B18b1 motor without turbo or doing a LS/Vtec thanks.
Don't want to debate or anything if you want to help out give me some insight will be appreciated.

Without turbo or LS/vtec you're going to have to spend major money to get an extra 30kws.
Basics you'll need are Intake, Headers, Exhaust.
Then without turbo/LS Vtec your only other options would be to work the internals, i.e. Cams/cam gears etc. but it wouldn't be worth it on your B18B1.
For extra 30kws you'd most likely have to spend more than the cost of an LS/VTEC conversion.

how would you know that they "know things which you can't find that easy", unless you found such things yourself?
What do you expect? Someone to hand feed you exactly what you should do?
Show some initiative by at least demonstrating a willingness to find your own information. it doesnt matter if it isnt right, just stop being a lazy focker and READ some of the info that is available.

Listen mate did you read the thread? It said I do not want to debate so if you do not feel the need to participate then just don't comment on the thread?

you wont gain 30kw, but you will be a lot faster and its bang for buck. Swap in a B20B8 non-vtec with a b16 tranny. Pretty decent power

You aren't going to get 30kw out of a b18b without spending a lot of money on the internals. That large sum of money would easily have funded something relatively easy to come by like a b18c2.
In short just do the basic mods that you can take with you to your next car/engine that you can buy when you're off your P's.

Alrite so how much is cams and pistons going to cost on doing the B18b1 up compared to swapping the engine with a B18c2 the B18c engine will cost a fair bit I recon...

Don't quote me on prices but to do the full internals you will basically be doing a full rebuild. And if you are going to be doing that then you will be replacing all your seals and gaskets, as well as the new cams, valves, springs, retainers, pistons, rings, etc.
I honestly CBF looking up prices for a full b18b rebuild with those parts but I can tell you it's going to cost quite a few grand if you go off other more commonly modified honda engine part prices. Then you have to factor in the costs of labour, a better flowing exhaust and intake, strengthened clutch to handle the added power, an aftermarket ECU to run the whole thing and tuning so it doesn't blow up. It will then be a bitch to drive, be very loud and draw plenty of cop attention.
Yes this may seem a bit extreme but trying to reach a 30kw gain out of a N/A b18b isn't going to be cheap.
The b18c2 will cost you much less installed as it's just a matter of swapping the engine and ecu straight over with a little bit of rewiring, will look basically stock and will run great with stock I/H/E untill you decide to upgrade. Plus you will have the potential for a lot more power in the long run.

^^ True, but i dont think the b18c2 is a worthwhile upgrade over a b18b. b18c7 would be worth it.....

I was only talking price wise. Of course a c7 would be a much better upgrade :p Would cost a lot more too.

If I changed the engine though I would have to register it wouldn't I? or could I just drive it the chance of the cops actually checking the engine blocks number and seeing it's not the correct one isn't all that good lol ?

If you drove around with an un registered engine swap on your P's I'd recommend keeping a few tubs of KY in the glove box...
Like I said in the other thread, it'd be more beneficial to do basic mods like I/H/E, wait till you're off your P's and buy a type R or do a big engine swap. At least with the type R you get the whole facelift, suspension and drivetrain package too.

LSVTEC with I/H/E would be by far the easiest and probably cheapest way to obtain your goals.... and as for making it "reliable" all you need is a set of ARP rod bolts and good tuning.... water pump, timing belt, etc are all part of a major service which you might as well do while you have the engine apart.

top quality I/H/E, port&polished head, aggressive crower cams 403s, valvetrain, ECU, tuning. won't get you 30kw, but it's probably the most you can do for a b18b.

Hmm I thought the whole point of just doing a Ls/Vtec is that you don't have to remove the whole engine?
Or did you just mean while im still in there doing the work?

Then a proven header(ie TODA,BC) 1500
Skunk2 manifold 500
Exhaust 500
ECU & tune 2k +
budget 7k LOL
Easy buy and fit a B18c or half way to a K20

OP:
Nice to see you're sticking to the B18B. I like the motor. My brother has a GSI and I sourced for him a CAI, brand new XForce header for $409 delivered from Race Nation (see the Classified section) and a Fujitsubo Power Getter with a Magnaflow cat on it for $700.
So all up we paid something like $1400 for parts + installation.
I suggest doing this first. It's a great start for any car you want to modify, and you can continue to use the parts if you decide to keep modifying. I think my brother would have gotten himself close to an extra 10kw, which doesn't sound like a lot but it makes a nice difference.
Otherwise my advice would be to get yourself a VTEC B-series gearbox either a hydro-clutch one from a B16A2/B18C2 with a 4.4FD ($600-$1,000) or a hydro-clutch one from a B18C7/JDM B18C with a 4.7FD ($1500 +/-).
The closer gear ratios and higher FD will do wonders for your acceleration because the B18B's gearbox is pretty much the achilles heal. You have to run out to such a high speed before you hit your redline and it makes it hard to keep your car in the powerband when you shift up gears.
I'm sure that with I/H/E and a VTEC B-series GBox you'd notice a huge difference and have a load of fun. You can probably get all of this sorted for $2500-$3500, labour included. I highly recommend it.
Good luck and keep us updated!

tyre kick a workshop...;)
silly question, silly thread...
you wont get 30kw extra on a b18b na unless u have deep pockets.. and for the cost you could probabaly do a k20 swap.. hahaha
give up.. and save for a b18c\ls vtec\b20frank..........

but man... after your 2.5-3k u would be... well... close to the same speed as a std b18c2 anyways... so why dont u just swap it in?

this person is just asking this question for the sake of it, for the people who have replied constructively, you have all wasted your time.
no need to help people that ask such stupid questions and are so lazy they don't even put any effort into helping themselves 1st.

The I/H/E can be used in a B-series swap (except for B18C2 IM of course) so if he invests in those they will prove to be good investments long-term (as far as car parts go as investments anyway).
Otherwise a B18C2 swap should cost a good $4000, right? $2500 +/- for a full motor setup and $1000 for labour, and a bit more for all the annoying little issues that are bound to pop up?
If he chooses to do this down the path then an exhaust would still be a good idea. I just believe in starting with the basics and addressing the larger issues later.
Otherwise, best to just upgrade to a DC2 rather than stick with the DC4.
