So my EG lights are getting aweful. Its hardly giving me any visibility at night anymore.

If I get this: Twin-Halo Projector Headlight for Honda CIVIC EG 92-95 (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Twin-Halo-Projector-Headlight-for-Honda-CIVIC-EG-92-95_W0QQitemZ370203518173QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Car_ Parts_Accessories?hash=item370203518173&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:2|65:1|39:1|240:1318|301:1|293:1|294: 50). Will it be a perfect fit with any random good quality HID Kit on ozhonda? I don't want rice so maybe 5400K or something.

I'm guessing this means I'll be running HID for main headlights, and my high beam will be a 2nd normal Halogen bulb?

Is that all I'll need? I accept that it probably won't be legal, but I don't want it dodgy for attention.

imo, you should grab the projector, my old EG headlight wasnt that useful at pitch dark nights and rain. For high beam, you may want to get brighter light for more distance, so maybe also use an HID or some really bright halogen bulb. Just FYI, try not to get "random good quality" brand-ed HID, some HID might be really good at the start and may become poor after months using them. Might as well get some proper brand rather than replacing it every 2 - 3 months. Just my opinion.

HID can be used if you have a projector, reason being (from experience), the projector doesnt flash off everywere where the OEM headlight does. this should'nt be illegal (in nsw).

Just make sure you buy projectors that are suited for HID's if you do want them. You wont be able to use HID's with some as the projector lens focus's the beam and will melt/warp the polycarbonate outer lens. They will normally say 'Not for use with HID's' if they cant use them.

More importantly please ensure that it is for LHD driving.
Some aftermarket lights are made for US market, the RHD market.
Always love the projector style headlight

i've changed mine from those

to this

big difference, i'm still using hid's for low and just a really birhgt halogen for hi beams. the reflectors were shocking in the rain especially, with the projectors, like everyone said it's more focused and the cutoff is much clearer

Boban, were they both from ebay?

Hrmm, I thought the point of a projector WAS to run HID's. But cheers I'll chase em up.

It's a shame no ozhonda seller is selling EG Headlights with HID kit. I'm not sure how I'll go finding projector headlights on ebay, then fitting up a good quality HID kit and hoping it all works.

Thanks

Thanks mate. +1 on the 'good quality' HID kit.

Those headlights are shit.
I have them on my EH, they look pretty sweet, but the actual projector lense and high beam casing sorta thing is really badly designed. On low beam (projector) the beam is very triangular shaped, can only see approx 3-4m ahead of you (max) and the high beam is almost exactly the same as low beam, shoots around 4m ahead of you just doesn't have the triangular shape.
And they are NOT designed for HID's.
They look sweet get em if you want but if I had it over again i'd go elsewhere.

the reflectors were from ebay, you can tell by how well they "fit"
the projectors i got off of an import yard here in brisbane, they were on a eg6 before and than i just painted some standard indicators since i can't find amber ones for a sedan anywhere.

PS, yonas (of JDM Yard) is selling the same ones but chrome not black
