hi guys, i was changing my rims this morning from my 18s back to my stock 16s when i relised some thing.
the part where the wheel is meant to sit flush with the brake disk doesnt sit flush. there is a few mm gap about 3 or 4 mm. it is the part behind the center cap. is this a big deal? does it need to be flush like my 18s?
cheers

no idea what you are talking about mate, but if your wheels are touching your rotors that's not a good thing.
are you talking about the hub?

Man that's pretty serious, the wheel is meant to sit flush to the hub. Is there something stuck in there or an uneven surface on the wheel?

i dont know, do you know if there is meant to be a spacer?
this is the first time ive taken the 18 off to put my stocks back on. when the 18s are on there isnt any gap though.

You know what it might be?
The hub centric ring that you got sitting on the rotor.
The hub centric rings --> suited to whatever wheel you have to make it sit snug, does not suit the opening on the stock wheels (hub centric rings diameter are too big for the stock wheels opening).
In your first photo that aluminium ring you have sitting on the lip of the middle rotor face.

i had the same problem mate.. very dangerous driving it like this as the nuts are locked in tightly as well..
i had 18's before and when i went back to stock, the hub ring which is meant to stay on the back of the 18's where stuck on the rotor.. and 16" stockies don't actually need hub rings and therefore that is why there is the gap..
remove the silver hub ring from the rotor.. u can just use a flat head screw driver to peel it off.. and then put ur stockies on.. that's all it is.. if u take the hub ring off, you'll notice the ring should fit flush in the rear centre of ur 18's..

and another one just incase it wasnt clear

i am wondering this, does the part behind need to be sitting flush? the pic below is showing a little gap.( photo from the same wheel)

mate DO NOT DRIVE LIKE THAT!
get a flat screwdriver and tap it out.
and if you look at the other wheel then you should notice that that ring is stuck onto the wheel, whereas this one got stuck onto the hub

note: if you damage the hub ring it's better to sand it lightly just to smoothen out the circle, else fails you will need to replace it as it won't hold your wheel snug anymore.
