Is this the coolant drain bolt used for bleeding the cooling system?

(Same for a d-series I presume?)

coolant is drained usually ( when not getting block rebuilt outside the engine bay etc) via the bleed butterfly on the bottom of the radiator -

draining maybee yes but not bleeding. bleeding bolt is found on top hose housing, 12mm bolt with hole in it .

I know where the radiator drain bolt and the bleed valve/bolt (on top of uppermost radiator hose) is........but the manual reffers to an engine drain bolt?

then its an engine drain bolt. there is also another one at the rear of the engine near the oil filter.

Iv only ever used em when the Coolant is really bad or if it was non gen coolant and im putting in genuine coolant, ( nice good flush )

Thats the role of the bolt I posted above. It is so that the rest of the coolant can drain out of the block (via the same hole at the bottom of the radiator).

to add -

its common place in th ghetto zones aeoudn the world "see LAZY honda owners" to remove the radiator butterfly , and air-venter - and simply flush the water out via a hose during the running of the engine. Works....
