HELP! EG5 Not Kicking over!

Hi All,

perhaps someone has come across this problems also.
Just recently my car has shit itself
i.e cranking but not turning over.
i have a fresh battery in there, so i checked if its throwing a spark which it wasnt.
i know its not fuel related as i smelt the flooded engine when i tried to kick it over.

Could it be the coils?

please send suggestions as its doing my head in.

isn't cranking = turning over?

either way i'm assuming you've drained the cylinders of the fuel
try new spark plugs and cables?

nah like its trying to kick over if that makes sense lol..
i changed the plugs n leads 6 months ago.. all NGK parts..

so it turns over but not firing up?
try another dizzy i guess

how do i know if its just the coil instead of the whole distributor.
the rotor works fine, thought it might have been a little dirty thats why it wasnt sparking..
