Hi all,

Just found out the suspension on my DC5R is not stock and is causing a bit of grief.

Was wondering if there are any springs that are designed for comfort? Specifically for the DC5R. The stock springs perform far beyond my expectations and hence would like a spring that's more comfort-oriented. Would be much appreciated if you could recommend a good comfortable spring. Thanks!

Furthermore, would it be sufficient to just change the springs? I don't mind forking out a little bit more if changing shocks will further increase ride quality.

Thanks guys

something like koni FSD? It's less stiff than the yellows.

Swap in the base model springs and dampers. That is pretty cushy. Any lowered springs should hopefully be stiffer than stock because a DC5 has very little suspension travel as it is, especially at the front, so if you lower it you need stiffer springs otherwise you will be making sweet love to your bump stops constantly.

lol

Not sure if they are available (havent looked), but if comfort is THAT much of a priority to you, over a sports oriented setup for a sports car, then go and get king spring OEM replacements. Sure to be softer than stock.

I prefer straight line acceleration over cornering speed and thus not too worried about body-roll etc.

I read somewhere that King springs is like driving on pillows? Can anyone confirm this? If so, I'll have the power of the Integra with the comfort of my parent's Euro. Much appreciated!

yes i can confirm this. I have sat in a honda accord with king springs and i can barely feel any bumps in the road.

I'm also thinking about changing springs for some more cushion. Where can I get em installed in Sydney ?

He's for real. Swap the stock setup back in and/or sell the DC5 "R" for somthing else.
