Just noticed that my temperature might not be working as indicated.

Setting temperature to say 25 degree, the air is actually cool not even warm. Does anyone else have this same problem?

My mate who owns a CL9 said at 25 degree it should still be warm-ish. BTW.. engine was up to temperature so you can rule that out. Could be the sensors?

What is the cabin temperature? Not sure if CU2 has the same feature as CL9, but if you hold down "Auto" and "Dual" buttons when you start the car, your driver temperature setting should flash "1" and some number. That number is the cabin temperature.

I have no idea... I will have to try tonight when i get home.

BTW.. should the cabin temperature affect the air temperature that should be pumping out the vents?

I'm not using the climate control function.. just using the normal heater with the Auto function on.

Yes, the cabin temperature affects the air temperature coming out of the vents.

How do you set it to just use the normal heater btw? The only way to do so is to set the temperature to "Hi" and let it blow out hot air at max speed.

I just press on the fan button and then adjust the temperature to say HI or between 28 or above where the air is still warm-hot

Then your climate control is still on.
I doubt that you can turn off the climate control function on the Euro. The Auto button controls the fan speed and outlet vent. The temperature of the air is controlled by the setting that you put in and the cabin air temperature.

So on a sunny day, you can have your setting at 28 ºC, the outside air temperature indicator showing 20 ºC, but the air con blowing super cold air because the cabin temperature is above 28 ºC from the sun. Try the "dual + auto" trick and let us know what the reading shows when you have it on 28 ºC, car in the shade and it still blows cold air.

OK..i'll try this tonight after driving home from the station. It won't be sunny anymore but it shouldnt matter so much. I think there's something faulty with the temperature already.

Yup try it out. If it is sunny, it will tend to blow out cold air. If it is not sunny, the air should be warm if the cabin temperature is colder than the ouside temperature and the temperature set on the climate control.

25 is never warm to me... not in my CU2 and not in my FD2 as well... 26 and above is warm to hot while 25 to Lo is cool to cold... I've tried 25 degree when its 11 degree outside, it didnt blow warm air. It just didnt blow any air at all... I've change it to 26, then it start to blow warm air...

I'm used to this setting so its not a problem for me :)

We'll, you'll find out tonight if your climate control is stuffed or not. But usually it is just because of the internal temperature.

You can turn the aircon off by hitting the A/C button in the CU2, while in climate control mode. You can also manually adjust the fan speed. So if you start on "auto" and a temperature setting, then hit A/C, then adjust the fan speed, you are basically down to the old fashioned "heater" scenario. It won't run as cool if you turn the aircon off. You should see a "A/C off" indicator in the display when you do this.

A/C off just means that the compressor will not turn on. The temperature of the hot air that comes out is still regulated by the climate control system, which does the consideration between the climate control temperature setting, cabin temperature and sunlight sensor reading.

^^ Yep agreed - but if the compressor is off doesn't that mean the outside air can't be cooled by the system? So in the OP's case, he may find turning the compressor off means the air isn't coming through so cool.

OP is complaining that his climate control doesn't get warm enough.

That's why I suggested turning A/C (compressor) off - so the air doesn't get cooled. He said the air is coming through cool. I have found this happens in my CU2 when the A/C is on, and the air comes through warmer when it's off. Just trying to help....

Worth a try as well. Good idea.

I might give that a try bk212..

FYI > I was actually complaining that cool air comes through when i have my temperature sitting at 25 degree.

BTW.. the 'HOLD AUTO & DUAL' button before ignition doesn't work on CU2.

I don't see what the problem is here.

I typically have the climate control set to 24 in my CU2 and it's the same in my Mazda 3 which also has climate control. If you want the cabin to be warmer turn the temp up. :)

With the Mazda 3 and the cold mornings here in Canberra it will typically come on warm and directed to the feet and after about 20mins spilt the direction to face/feet and no longer come out as warm once the cabin temp has warmed up.

Sounds like your CU2s climate control is working as normal.

agreed... like i sed 25 is not a "hot" temp...

His mornings are probably not as cold as Canberra, hence not getting any hot air out of the vents. My car blows out cool air too. It only blows hot air if it is really cold outside.

Oh yeah, set your output vent to the main face vents. It's easier to feel warm air that way. THe climate control will send hot air to the foot vents by default unless there is a very big temperature difference between cabin temp and setting temp.

This morning, here are my readings and I still got cold air:
Setting temp: 25 ºC
Cabin temp: 24 ºC
Outside temp: 14 ºC
