Sound dampener under the bonnet

hey if i take the carpeting under the bonnet will

a) my engine get cooler quicker = better performance

b)heat my bonnet and make the paint come off?

or both?

Prob make the clear coat go quik smart.. its there 4 a reason so IMO just leave it

Type R doesn't even have it so it won't affect paint in any way. It absorbs sound and adds small amount of weight, so no reason I can't think of why you cannot remove it.

T-onedc2 is rite. I took mine off my EG. Not really there for heat absorption. More for the sound.... for the grannies out there who like quiet cars.

Take it off and improve power to weight by 0.000001%. Best bang for buck mod.:thumbsup:
