on acceleration only? does it stop when no throttle is applied?
my guess is busted inner cv joint or unbalanced wheels

How hard are you accellerating ? If hard enough you might be experiancing axle tramp - common on FWD's.

"on acceleration only? does it stop when no throttle is applied?

- yes on execellerating , it stops when no throttle is applied -

" How hard are you accellerating ? If hard enough you might be experiancing axle tramp - common on FWD's. "

- not hard at all, normal excellerating to about 3->4k rpm then shift to next gear -

*thing is i only experience it sumtimes maybe 2 out of 5 times i hop into the car, never had the prob before, it only started yesterday.

thanks guyz for directions in solving this puzzle

How does the engine idle? Sounds like it may be misfiring. Could also be clutch shudder. Does it do it hot? Cold?

I'd check my engine/torque mounts as well to be on the safe side.

Check the voltage is set correctly in your TPS while your at it. If it's off it may cause your car to under/over fuel as it's reading the throttle plate in wrong position.

my magna did this when the clutch was on the way out. really bad on cold mornings but once it heated up was fine. might be ur clutch mate.

clutch is fine - new heavy duty clutch put in 2000kms ago - idling cold in the mornings and arvo normal - nothing erratic, but i have noticed a very small leak in the front right shock at the top...... maybe thats the case???? HrmmM

ill keep u folks posted after i check voltage and torque mounts as suggested by geeang &02gzm

thanks everyone for the input - very much appreciated !

Most common is busted engine mount or problem with the drive shafts.

alrighty gents,

ive found the prob,

there was a slight crack in the ignition lead casing near the part it plugs into the distributor cap! and the sh*t was sparking onto my intake pipe..... thus causing erratticccc throttle....
