Thought i put up a thread entirely on insurance.

So some of the questions posted here and probably be answered are like:
So who are you guys with?
How much you pay for full coverage? or go for third party?
Will they still cover you even though you put down modifications?

For me, I'm with NRMA when i first got my car (stock as a rock, its a VTI) at the beginning of 2007, held the car stock for a year before doing the amount of mods such as:
- bodykit
- rims and tyres
- HID's
- suspension coilovers
- rear sway bar
- exhaust muffler
- air filter

And so i went into NRMA today to see if they would still cover me (im with comprehensive) with the amount of mods that i had on and to my surprise, they go that they still would cover me, increasing the amount covered from $23,440 to $31,000 and i had just to pay an additional $111.54 (it would have been $222 for the full year but its half year now so they charged me half of that).. and the annual premium before was $1,886 with basic excess of $600... by the way im on full license (could be more $$$ if youre on ur reds or greens)

forgot to mention, i asked if they could cover me for more than $31,000 and they go that 31k is the maximum coverage for the Civic VTI.

all NRMA said was to keep your mods receipts so for them to be covered if i had a major accident.

i did a quote from Just Cars a few weeks back, going with Comprehensive and quoted me $2,097 annual premium and they only cover $18,900 with excess of $600 from the same amount of mods i said above to NRMA.

so im pretty much happy with that... was wondering how much your insurance is and what does it cover... comparing if the deals are good or not.

Yeh, i'm with NRMA too... paying around $1.6k (with my younger brother insured too, he's on green P's).

I've had good dealings with NRMA before and would highly recommend them as they are pretty efficient with claims, especially if you're not at fault.
