Hey guys I just wanted to post this to show every one what you can do with a little bit of money and alot of patience.
This is just to show every one that you shouldn't just go out and spend alot of money on new mags you can fix your old ones and make them look even better than new.
Enjoy :)
You will need about $60.
I bought every thing I needed from super cheap.
2x cans of white enamel paint.
2x Primer.
1x Clear coat.
1xBody putty
And a range of rough and smooth sand paper.
Before:

Hope this has inspired some one to fix their own Rims instead of spending alot of money on new ones.

If you could go into a bit of detail that would help.
A bit more about how you used the putty to fix the rash would be much appreciated.
any full pics of the car?

Buy some "water sand paper" which is usually used to take of the lekker from paint and try to sand just the clear coat off the wheels and if all went well just re-spray the clear coat.
If it doesn't go well you might have to do something like me but im sure your rims arn't as badly scratched as mine were.. well you can expect scratched rims if you buy your car from a model who drives with high heels Lol..

So we'll need some Wet and Dry sand paper to remove the lacquer (or clear coat). I think that's what he's getting at.

Just apply it where it is needed and sand it down untill it is so smooth that when you run your finger across it you can't feel a difference.
Just used body putting thats the name of it -from SUPER CHEAP Good luck

Its just a simple correction, instead of giving me shit why don't you say "Thanks for clarifying that for me". Notice the thumbsup at the end, all in good intention.

Looks good, white looks very bright
I did mine very similar, just didnt follow through with effort on curb rash...maybe i should have but didnt have time.
http://i42.tinypic.com/23qxzcw.jpg
I used a special wheel paint, has metallic fake in it and it dries very smooth and not essential to clear coat it afterwards.
Either way, nice work...looks like effort paid off.

No.. The putty is so resistant that once you have left it for 20min from the time you applied it you can actually get water on it and every thing.. So once you sprayed your undercoat and Colour of choice and a clear coat there is no way.. Just make sure you get the putty perfect with no bumps.

Did you spray the putty over the entire wheel to create an even surface or only on the curb rash bits?

I spray it?? no the putty is like a paste you apply it and sand it down so that it only fills in the chipped and rash bits and so that it is even with the rest of the wheels surface. Takes alot of time but my mates have even said it looks like some proper legit mags so I saved alot of money the time was worth it I would say.

Hahah thats what happens when you bought the car from a model..
Atleast she never thrashed the engine ;)
I know the white is abit of a shocker but I quite like it and I can always change the colour now with such ease.
Might spray them black next or try get an alloy look back.

Yeah but those only look good with the red because he has the alloy/chrome around the edge full red doesn't look as good and that red makes it real obvious that you painted it lol.

Like what stages?? the putty is good stuff it's made for things like this and the paint makes it even stronger. and you don't aplly a thick chunk of putty you just use it to fill the gaps in and sand it back so its smooth.

i was told that the putty would crack if used on rims, reasons being, it will do thru heaps of bumps and etc. I was just wondering, because if this works well, i will use it on my rims too.

I have had no problems and have allready driven a couple hundred Km's since with no cracks. But like I said before it's not like you apply the putty that thick and the paint adds even more strength aswell. Just buy a good putty and good paint and I don't think the putty will be craking ;).

Depends on how deep your scratches are.. If they are just light curb rash you'll have zero problems but some rims may have deep ass scratches and you prob shouldn't just bog it up

I had some really bad ones as you can see in the pictures but I know it won't crak the putty is tough.. As I said aswell I have driven a couple 100's of km's since and the car has been in the cold/hot and rain and no problems.
