hey guys,
I recently bought a set of tail lights via ozhonda, turns out the person i bought them from had them smoked, and quite heavily at that. to the point of being .75m thick. it looks like the tint has been on them for quite some time.

Does anyone have any tips, to remove the spray on tint?

Thanks :)

try acetone ull be rubbing it for a while but itll work,

or ,

may want to try paint stripper, but becareful u dont keep it on for too long otherwise the plastic is going to disintegrate (someone may want to confirm if this is an ok idea)

Thanks guys, will get back to you later today about the progress :)

Result

i decided against anything with acetone in it, eg nail polish remover or paint stripper.
also against high gloss thinner, purely because of the risk of damage to the plastic.

after 2 hours of elbow grease and some metholated spirits, i have managed to clean up the covers, all that they lack is a bit of cut and polish to clean off the final residue.

thanks for your help guys, and i hope this helps others else out in the future.

Ps, metho worked because it was an acrlyic based smoke tint spray.
