gday guys

was having a serious think about running 2 motors in my CRX. (yes, I already have the car.) b20 for the front wheels and k24 for the rear wheels. I know front would be easy cos its already b16 in there but wondering how hard and how much it would be to couple up a k24 up to the rear axle....????

had some questions.

Clearance
torquest steer etc
would it be hard to match up the torque between the front and rear wheels?

Thanks

hahaha

win thread

edit: had a think about it, and ive come up with a solution

Step 1: cut crx in half
step 2: cut euro in half
step 3: cable tie the two front cuts together
step 4: reverse the gearbox in the euro with hectic customisation
step 5: ......
step 6: profit?

Oh man, you took the idea right out of my head. I swear I was planning to do exactly the same project. But I was thinking of running 4 motors. Like one for each wheel. I'll get like a F20C for the rear left, k24 for the rear right (cause I like to do drifties). Then up front a turbo charged D-series for the passenger, then a nsx motor on the driver side, might super charge it, but not sure. I'll decide when the project get closer.

Does anyone know how fast this will be down the 1/4, or estimate of how many kw's at the wheels? You guys think it'll be good? Let me know.

Bludger, I think it would be financially beneficial if you were to keep the B16 you already have buy another B16 and weld them together so you have a B32 8 Cylinder motor. I've heard it's been done in the US all the time, check it up on honda-tech.com though for how-to guide, because I just heard it from a mate of a mates mate.

Then you would have left over cash to work on some suspension mods to support the extra weight up front. Are you planning to drive it on the track or in time attack events? It would be pretty nose heavy and dive alot under breaks, but if you actually make it through the turns the V8 would pull like a truck down the straights. I'd imagine a low 10 down the 1/4, and approx. 250KW atw.

Keep us posted on the build.

Wouldn't it be better to put the same motor front and rear... just so you don't have un-even power delivery from front and rear?

Another idea... Honda Beat engine... one for each wheel...

DDDOOOO EEEETTTT.... NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!

Not a fan of that autostyling... but admit the engineering is impressive.

lol....

It isnt actually that uncommon...

One guy in the states is making a twin boosted h22a desol for drag.

The is a mini in the states i have seen in a couple of mags that is running twin b16's, (or 18's) boosted to 500hp each....

would be scary as hell... plus i would like to see how the fuel tank sits with all the extra boost hardware in the boot lol...
