Hi Guys,

Sorry if this is a re-post,

My passenger seat in the euro (luxury) rattles while driving!

It's the most annoying repetetive thing that crawls under your skin, turning the music up doesn't work, cause I know it's there!

If someone sits in it, it's fine.

Is there something I can tighten somwhere? or anyone else had it?

I thought it was the headrest at first, but seems like it aint.

Don't know about you, but sometimes for me the passenger buckle gets trapped between the seat and b-pillar and that causes rattling. You just have to adjust it straight to stop it.

Not sure if this is your problem or you have something else.

Yeah, i had that problem lol, the buckle was hitting the pillar and making the noise. Didn't realise till i started moving it around

I also had the Seat belt tapping the pillar, was very annoying , but then realised what it was and straightened it out :).

The only other noise in the car i have is a exhaust heatsheild rattle(I think :S) somewhere under my car i hear it when I rev the car when stopped, gonna have to look for it one day !

Thanks guys, I thought it was the seatbelt initially as well, but it's different type of rattle,

When I pull the head rest up a notch (off the seat) it stops the rattle.. I gotta suss this out even further now.. the rattle does my head in.

Pull it up a notch then.... or better still adjust it similar to the one at the driver seat. Which should be same height as your (drivers) head. Its to prevent whiplash in the event of an accident.

I know a lot of people put it at the lowest setting, as they think its nicer... lol... dumb ricers.

I'm not the tallest guy dude, and the setting that it's on (lowest) actually supports my head fine.. also I don't keep the chair at a 90 degree angle, it's leaned back a little as it's no good driving like a geek all the way up, so when the airbag goes off, it re-arrages your face.

Yeah well 90% of race drivers have bucket seats which are non adjustable, and the cars don't have airbags.

ROFLMAO! true but don't you find that when your sitting a bit too upright you feel a bit more uncomfortable?

I have my seat up on the most upright position, with the headrest down and no lumbar. The safest position is having the seat the most upright, gives you the best pedal control as your hips don't move at all.

Try tightening all your bolts that hold the seat to the chassis. I had a rattle in mine after taking the seat out of the car and sitting it on the brackets on flat ground for a while. The metal actually bent up on one of the arms and didn't sit flush with the car until I pushed it down and tightened the bolt. The metal is suprisingly maluable, I wouldn't be suprised if could get slightly bent from people sitting in it.

Thanks dude, I'll give it a go, there must be something in there loose.. If not I'll arildite the headrest posts in the chair if that's the final source of the rattle
