Soundstream lil wonder series amp

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone have one of these installed in their car and what the quality is like, just deciding if I should get the jaycar amp or soundstream.

soundstream used to be a very good amp back in 90's but now they already made in china or any other asian country just like the Jaycar so if the price is not much difference I will still buy soundstream

i've tried the lil wounder III 2.150 on an image dynamic idq10 - bass can't hit as low as the audiosystem f2-500 - and it distorts at a lower spl level - overall sounds punchy but not loud. On the front dyn 242 system - the clarity remains the same but the bass is not deep, to drop off at a much higher frequency - around 150hz ish. compared to the f2-500 which plays flat until ~100hz. These figures are just rough - i didn;t acutally get into it and test the spl with an spl meter - after using this amp as a substitute for my audiosystem i find the ebay one alot better to run the sub - weird but thats just me, with sound its subjective you gotta try different things to suit YOUR taste - not what the guy at autobarn says.

DO NOT BUY A LIL WONDER... theyre horrible amps, if you buy one and it doesnt blow up, somethins wrong haha, but sreiously, notoriously unreliable, theres a stack (like 30-40) sitting in one of the alberts stores here in perth, all blown, same problem... just dont buy one
