could be your window seal, stopping it from going up. use some graphite powder mixed, and spray into seal and just make window go up and down a couple times to run it in.

i tried some silicon spray and it still doesnt budge on the bottom, but if its up the top it can go up and down anything below half way it gets stuck

the switch is seeing too much load when the window is below halfway.
either -
-u havent lubed up the window well enough,
-your window might be out of alignment
-the motor is starting to fail & drawing more current at low levels
-or the switch is reading the load on the motor incorrectly.

try a quick switch swap with someone elses & see if it fixes it.
if not,u have to look further.

yeh id say its your seal then. take of the door trim and have a look where it is having trouble inside the door. try and maneuver the seal so it dosnt over lap the window. try graphite powder, did all of this to my car

in older cars, it can sometimes be the connection within the motor. When it happens to me, I usually soak the motor in WD40 and after a while, it starts working again...
